2nd Annual Samir "Sam" Ashmar Memorial Golf Tournament

The Upper Macungie Township Fire Station #56 will be hosting their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Shepherd Hills Golf Club. This event is open to the public and proceeds will benefit the Samir "Sam" Ashmar Scholarship Fund for students looking to further their education. Sam was a volunteer firefighter since 1982, presently serving as fire marshal and EMT for Upper Macungie Township Station 56, and previously served the Good Will Fire Company, No. 1 Trexlertown, and Lower Macungie Township Station 30. Sam was an assistant to the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and held memberships in the International, National and Pennsylvania Association of Arson Investigators. He also served on the board of directors for the Burn Prevention Foundation, Allentown, from 2000 to 2009. Sam passed away on Thursday November 20, 2014 after responding to an emergency call in the community. Please stay tuned for the registration form!
